Making a Mummy
Mummifying is not only a tradition, but it is a rich and sacred art and culture of ancient Egypt. This whole process dates back many, many centuries ago. The most prominent and important people were mummified- so you’re looking at Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses, nobles and other high ranking officials and leaders. Physically, mummification is done in order to preserve and keep the body intact even after the life has left it. But Egyptians were very spiritual. So this practice was also meant to help preserve the soul in the afterlife as well.
The mummies of the highest kind were kept in private tombs. These tombs were filled with riches and gold, jewels and gems, all of the finest treasure- also believed that their soul would take the wealth with them to the other side. Once all preparations have been made, the tomb is then sealed off giving the mummy, both body and soul, eternal rest and peace.
Opening these tombs would be like hitting the jackpot- but with a high price to pay. Many have attempted to steal the treasure, however most have failed. It is believed that a horrid curse will befall any invaders in this sacred site.
Making Yo’ Mummy proud in this Yo! Mummy Costume
Waste endless rolls of tissue no more. This Pharaoh costume is a long sleeved one piece mini. Of course, all in white, this dress has the look that it has been ripped and tattered in many places. You have supposedly come back from the dead after all. But dressed like this, you are sure to be the life of the party anyway.
Put on the knee high stockings made of the same fabric and with the rips and tatters. The only wrapping you will need to do with the head piece. Tie the matching band around your head to top it all of and complete the whole mummy look.
Being dead has never looked this good. The Yo! Mummy Costume makes it so easy. Why waste time with tissue, and waste tissue? So save yourself the trouble, and save some trees as well.
