It looks more like the skeletal remains of  a half man/half dog. Maybe it is the god Anubis or one of his guardians or something like that. Yes, that explains it…or maybe it is a character out of the Mummy films or the scorpion king. They had lots of weird looking, fighting monster style creatures. Anyhow, here’s a bit more on the Mummy Warrior Costume.

So this ain’t a Pharaoh costume that’s for sure but it may have been buries with a pharaoh as his protector when he wandered into the afterlife. You see, there were plenty of perils that would face anyone trying to get into the Afterlife in Ancient Egypt. They had to solve riddles and battle gods and guardians of gods. So a Warrior by their side might just help them make it to the promised land.

This costume is actually quite simple.

It consists of a scary looking mask that looks like a cross between a dog  with powerful teeth and the beak of a crocodile or some prehistoric dinosaur. The detail of the mask looks awesome and will have onlookers gasping until they realize it is just a bit of fun. Around the mask is a scarf or headpiece that looks a bit like the classic Egyptian style headpieces you see on Pharaohs.

There is also an Egyptian style wide collar that has hieroglyphics printed on it to make it look more authentic. The rest of the costume is a tattered and weather robe in a sepia brown sort of color. It has jagged edges to suggest the garment has been in a sarcophagus for 300 odd years or so.

All in all, the components work well to produce a scary looking Halloween costume. However, you will notice in the picture that there are skeletal like hands. These do not come with the costume and have to be purchased separately. They certainly make the costume look better but aren’t necessary , especially if you are wearing the outfit in dark places. Just wear black gloves. You’ll look even more ghoulish without hands.
