A little peek on Pharaohs

Back in ancient Egypt, and actually even to this modern day and age, Pharaohs have been and probably always will be most important and well respected in their country.  They are known as the “Lords of Two Lands”.  This title is given to them for various reasons.  The “Lord” bit is easy since everyone knows that Pharaohs ruled over Egypt, but what about the “Two Lands” part?  There are different reasons and interpretations. One is because they rule from both religious aspects as well as political ones.  Another reason for the title is because they ruled over both the upper and lower Egypt.  One more great title that Pharaohs bore was “High Priest of Every Temple”.  They were called this for the sole reason that people believed that pharaohs were like gods walking the earth.

Back to rule, although this look is ancient, there is nothing old fashioned about this Egyptian ensemble.  Start off with the tunic that seems to be divided by colors.  The upper half is a rich deep blue color.  The sleeves have a dark brown tone to them and are striped in thin but closely knit bronze lines.  Finally, the bottom half is terracotta.  But there is nothing majestic about a plain three toned tunic, now is there?  That is why there are tons of accessories that are sure to make this look live up to its name.

An intricately designed bird inspired gold chest piece that has turquoise and red accents fits perfectly on top of the blue part of the tunic.  Not only does it match well, but it helps you look even mightier and stronger than you really are.  For your wrists, you have gold cuffs lined in bronze on both ends for each arm.  For your legs, nothing but dark brown shin guards lined in gold, also on both ends.

Tie the whole look together with the wide gold belt featuring an even wider gold buckle that matches the chest piece because of its bird design.  As if the that weren’t eye catching enough, it also comes with a three layered drape that features two snakes and some hieroglyphics.  Then top it all off with the matching headpiece that is truly fit for a king.
