This costume is described as elegant and sexy. Cleopatra was reputed to be one of the most beautiful women in antiquity so her costume had to match these ideals. There are also pharaoh costumes for children too. This is not so far from the truth either. As a son succeeded his father as ruler of Egypt whenever the father died, there were many child pharaohs. The most famous of course is King Tutankhamun who came to power at the age of nine years old.

Ancient Egypt is one of the most enduring civilizations from the ancient world. People still flock to the sites of the Pyramids and gaze at the mysterious looking Sphinx. Literature and movies keep people interested in the kings and Queens of the civilization, such as Cleopatra, Tutankhamun, Akhenaten or Ramesses.
Part of the reason why people are still interested in Ancient Egypt is because the remnants of the civilization, notably the pyramids, still stand and this keeps the civilization alive so to speak.
Another reason that the civilization has lived on or been immortalized is because of the extensive literature or hieroglyphs that are recorded on walls of these pyramids.
